Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of the presence of Sensory Processing Dysfunctions (PSD) in a sample of the Spanish population that attends an Early Childhood Care Center (CAIT) for intervention, using the tool Sensory Profile in its Spanish version. Methods: Descriptive study. The sample consisted of 82 minors between the ages of 3 and 6, whose families completed the SP. Results: The prevalence of DPS in the sample was 90.2%. Conclusions: A very high prevalence of DPS was found in the Spanish population treated in a CAIT, which justifies the evaluation in this sense of said population, as well as the inclusion of the Occupational Therapist within the team that makes up the intervention units of these centers.
