Abstract

The article begins by exploring these relationships at a conceptual level and then briefly reviews the protection regimes for pluralism in the media in advanced democratic societies, specifically the European Union, the United States, France and the United Kingdom. The final section places the problem in the Chilean context, and proposes a political-legal rationale to incorporate the right to information into national regulations.
